Phil Taylor (Motörhead) dies at 61

Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor, former drummer for legendary British rock band Motörhead, passed away on November 11th, 2015. His contributions from 1975-1984 and 1987-1992 included all of the group’s major albums, including “Overkill,” “Bomber,” “Ace of Spades,” and live recording “No Sleep ‘Til Hammersmith.”  He was fired in 1992 for failing to learn the drum tracks for the song “I Ain’t No Nice Guy.” Guitarist Eddie “Fast” Clarke had this to say about him:

I have known Phil since he was 21… Fortunately we made some fantastic music together and I have many many fond memories of our time together. Rest in Peace, Phil!
