A Closer Look at Keith Moon
Paste Magazine reviewed some highlights from Keith Moon’s (The Who) career. He would have turned 70 this past Tuesday.
And as an added bonus, we’ve got two full Who concerts with which to revisit the great talent of one of rock’s wildest drummers while also sadly noting the substance abuse that took him from us far too soon. At the Tanglewood show, he’s firing on all cylinders, but the Cow Palace show is another story. You’ll notice he’s not even there for their cover of “Spoonful,” replaced by a 19-year-old from the crowd after being loaded up with tranquilizers and passing out behind the kit.
