With Joey Kramer had to sitting out from drumming duties with Aerosmith due to heart issues, his own son, Jesse Kramer has been selected to fill in for his dad for a set of upcoming shows. Way to keep it in the family, guys!
“I’m in the gym every day, Monday through Friday. And I train really hard to go out and do a tour. So that, basically, what I’m doing with my trainer is that I train harder in the gym than the amount of energy that I expend on the stage.”
Man, what is it about drummer’s health lately? First Tim Alexander, then Nathan Followill, and now it seems Aerosmith is having to cancel shows due to drummer, Joey Kramer’s health.
Unconfirmed sources with the band have indicated that Kramer, 64, is slated for heart surgery. No word on how many shows are expected to be canceled.

Show is canceled “due to the local promoters’ failure to ‘meet contractual obligations.'”
“I’m disappointed we weren’t able to play for our fans in China. However, the circumstances were beyond our control,” stated AEROSMITH drummer Joey Kramer. “I sincerely hope AEROSMITH will get another opportunity to come back to Shanghai and Taiwan to play for our many fans there.”
According to WFMZ.com, AEROSMITH drummer Joey Kramer will discuss his new memoir during a visit to the Berks campus of Penn State University in Pennsylvania on March 25 at 9 p.m. in the Perkins Student Center auditorium.
Admission to the event is free. However, tickets are required. Students, faculty, and staff can reserve tickets now in Room 19 of the Perkins Student Center. Community members can reserve tickets starting March 19 at 10 a.m. by calling 619-396-6076. Community tickets will be held at a “will-call” table in the main lobby of student center.
Kramer will autograph copies of his book in the Penn State Berks bookstore after his presentation.
